What is Our Mission

The Henry Davison Youth Center provides a safe, nurturing environment for kids to learn and grow. Our center is a drug-free, alcohol-free and bully-free safe haven for kids to learn and grow. The youth center strives to strengthen families and help change the community one child at a time.

How We Started

In 1997, Henry Davison saw a need in Cedar Rapids to help working parents provide a safe place for children in the downtown area. The Henry Davison Center was born to teach children life skills and provide opportunities to learn hobbies and get help with homework.

For nearly 2 decades the center has fed the bodies and minds of youth through after school programs and summer programs.

What We Do Here

Our facility features a full kitchen, reading, computer, and gaming area, as well as a movie area and study tables.
